The nature of Tekeli (Almaty area). This city in riverheads of Karatal in foothills Dzungarian Ala Taus, at merge of the rivers of the Bark (Penalty), Chazhi and Tekelinki is located. Terminal station of a branch line from a line Semipalatinsk — Alma-Ata. The city of Tekeli is put at bottom джунгарских mountains in the late thirties on a place of a major field of polymetals. In the Great Patriotic War this deposit gave to the country lead for every eighth bullet.
The city name occurs from kinds of animals, these rivers living in gorges are no time many: flew — a mountain goat, elic— a small antelope. Scenes of hunting of tribes ussuni are embodied on rock paintings in city vicinities.
