The museum has accepted the first visitors in the beginning of 1924. That time it situated in a small house on Karavannaya Street. In 1968 the museum has taken place in the street which carries today the name of the Constitution of Kazakhstan Street. The re-planning and reconstruction of the two-storied private residence previously belonging to a merchant Tubi Lejbovichu Arkelju, have been carried out by the group of artists of the Karaganda and Tselinograd art funds under the direction of A.M. Chudov. Well - known scientist were involved in the work. So, in the 1949 - 1950 the senior scientific employee of a museum was the manager of archeology sector of Academy of sciences of the USSR, the pupil of an outstanding historian Evgeny Tarle, Alexander Semenov, made the first archaeological map of the North Kazakhstan region. He also became the author of the book about Petropavlovsk, which data were used by many historians and regional specialists. Since 1949 till 1951 the Lithuanian anthropologist Antonas Poshka worked in the museum. A big contribution was deposited into the studying of the nature of the region. Today the complex is one of the best museums of Kazakhstan. More than 134 thousand exhibits are stored in its funds. Here it is possible to get acquainted with the nature of the North Kazakhstan area, archeological finds, and elements of the life of immigrants, to examine the halls concerning different historical epochs.

There is a reserve “Sardonik” in territory of area named after Shal akyn. It is located in 40 km from an administrative centre of area Sergeevka. The card of Sergeevka is hydrounit. In cultural-cognitive plan museums of known writer Zejnel-Gabi Imanbaeva, akyns Akhmetzhan Nurtazin and Yermek Konarbayev, survey of barrows of archeologic monument Bekteniz, Sergeevvsky hydrounit, the Alder grove where in small territory rare plants for area grow, including an alder black are of interest. The area is the native land of four Kazakh academicians: Yevney Buketov, Amanzhol Koshanov, Kazis Tashenov and Myrzatai Sergaliev; cosmonaut Alexander Viktorenko.

One of the deepest drainage basins of the Commonwealth of Independent Countries, the fifth largest basin is Karaki. Its depth is known to any student - 132 m. The length of about fifty miles. THE NAURZUM NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE The Naurzum national nature reserve one of the oldest in Kazakhstan, was founded in 1931. Nowadays its territory makes up to 1,914,000 hectares. Administratively, it belongs to the Naurzum and Auyelikol rayons of the Kostanay oblast. In 2002 the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan recommended Naurzum National Nature Reserve for the inclusion in the List of Cultural and Natural World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. The territory of the reserve has landscape and biological diversity unique for the Eurasian steppe zone. This is determined by the history of landscape formation and complexity of the surface structure. Nowadays the Naurzum pine forest the southernmost in the flat parts of Kazakhstan. The Naurzum reserve is covered with different in age and content geological sediments, where variegated top – soil and vegetation with high diversity of the fauna has been formed.

Mountain-forest oasis Karkaraly situated in territory of Karkaraly State National park. The park flora includes 244 type of plants registered now though under references their number can reach about 800 kinds. It three times more than in an adjoining steppe zone. In Red Book RK from these 244 kinds are brought 5, a barberry, a sphagnum smooth, a birch Kirghiz, a poppy thin, the adonis spring. In territory of Karkaralinsk park 190 kinds of vertebrate animals are: 45 kinds of mammals, 122 kinds of birds, 6 kinds of reptiles, 2 kinds of amphibious and 15 kinds of fishes.

Here you can see pictures of the most interesting sights of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Ust-Kamenogorsk is administrative center of the East Kazakhstan region. It is situated on the Irtysh and Ulba rivers merger. First it was a fortress, founded by general Liharev in 1720. general’s name is given to one of the city street. In May 1720 Ivan Liharev’s expedition equiped with the order of Peter tghe first headed to Zaisan lake wy to Lake was safe but further on the way to Black Irtysh they faced big dzhungar troop. Attack was easily reflecte, but it was impossible to move further because of the hardly shallowing Irtysh. Expedition turned back. On the 12th of August 1720 military troop of the Russian Army come to the Irtysh and Ulba rivers merger, where it began to build fortress. This day is considered to be the day of Ust-Kamenogorsk foundation. Modern Ust-Kamenogorsk is a center of non-ferrous metallurgy. There are three musiums in the city, drama theater, peoples frendship house, Sport palace, 2 stadiums.
