The new park of Independence was stretched on 8 hectares. It is decorated by flower compositions and a musical fountain. In the park center the monument of unity of the people of Kazakhstan is constructed. Along the central avenue of park 21 board from a granite is located, on them especially bright events in country life for years of independence aren'ted.
In territory of park the President of the country Noursultan Nazarbayev has planted a tree. Opening of an arena about the central stadium of Shymkent becomes following point of its visit.

Today at opening of Republican games the President of the Paraolympic committee of the country Ilsijar Kanagatov has wished participants of competitions of good luck and has promised that in the future a number of such tournaments considerably will increase. Sponsors with which help it will be possible to develop the Paraolympic sports will be involved also. Today more than 13 thousand people with the limited possibilities go in for sports professionally, and thanks to carrying out of large tournaments their number will increase.
Ilsijar Kanagatov, President Paralimijskigo of committee: «Sports are one of the main methods of rehabilitations of invalids. It is important, that they went in for sports. Besides these games pass before the main start in London. At present we solve questions to open clubs and sports schools for invalid sports. Winners of these games will be involved in a national team. And there London not far off.»
From October, 5 till October, 9th will be played more than 523 complete sets of medals in six Paraolympic sports: swimming, powerlifting, bullet shooting, track and field athletics, volleyball sitting and table tennis. The home team hopes by quantity of medals to be in the first three of winners.
