April 10 this year in the Burabay area was a regional seminar "The main instruments of the state support of tourist business of Akmola region, which opened with a welcoming speech to the participants of the Deputy Mayor of Akmola region E. Kvaytkovsky. The seminar - attended the meeting subjects of tourist business, initiators of investment projects of the industry of tourism and rest, representatives of government agencies and educational institutions.
As you know, on behalf of the Head of state, in the past year Development plan of the Shuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone for 2012-2013 is developed, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As part of the implementation of the plan, was created a specialized Department of Tourism, and in the Burabay area - tourism department. In addition, within the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About tourist activity" at SPK “Esil” was created a Tourist Information Centre (TIC).
As a whole, in 2012 it was much made for tourism development in the republic, in particular, in the Shuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone. Term of stay of citizens of Russia is increased by territories of Kazakhstan, without obligatory registration till 30 days. In the Shuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone the covering is provided with cellular communication of the standard 3G. Launched a new rail route Karaganda - Omsk, passing through the station Borovoe resort. Introduced, in the operation of a five-star hotel «Rixos», the presentation of which took place with the participation of Heads of State. Thanks to its constant attention to the development of the Burabay resort zone, there was one more unique object - "The Kazakhstan Lapland".
For development of infrastructure was planned to carry out repair work of highways Shchuchinsk-Stepnyak, Akylbay-Kyzylagash, Zerenda-Schuchinsk-Vedenovka, intra quarter city roads of the Shuchinsk Street Railway Station, Morozov Avenue Abylai Khan, Edom, landscaping lakeside Pike (bicycle and pedestrian paths and ski trails with objects of hire and public catering).
At present, in the sphere of tourist business of our region 676 enterprises, including about 250 sanatorium and hotel organizations. Highlighted activation of the organizations which are carrying out activity in the sphere of tourism: Only in the past year as a result of their activities in the budget of the region received more than 734 million tenge. The special role in increase of investment attractiveness of tourist business of the Shuchinsk-Borovoe resort zone will be played by functioning of new hotel "Rixos" of a world class. For stimulation of development of tourism infrastructure, increase of tourist potential, investment appeal of the region, an extended coverage of the sphere of tourism in mass media and information availability in 2012 Department of Tourism of the Akmola region held competition on the 3rd nominations.

3. "The best coverage of the topic of tourism in mass media" for lighting in mass media of the problems of the development of tourism, the creation of a favorable tourist image of the Akmola region the promotion of a regional tourism product in the Kazakhstan and foreign tourist markets.
The competition attracted more than 20 subjects of tourism.
The best realized investment projects of 2012 in the sphere of tourism are recognized:

• Glacial fabulous town" Kazakhstan Lapland ", the residence of Santa Claus Burabay area.

In the nomination "Best website of the subjects of tourist sphere" awarded to:
• The first place to advertising agency “IT – Expert” (director - Nikolaev A.A.);
• The second place of SNNP "Kokshetau" (CEO - Savazov H.H.);
• The third place - information - resource center for tourism Korgalzhyn area (director -
K. Ryskeldiev).
Highlighted the role of a site of the Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA, head Shaykenova R. R.), by one of the first in Kazakhstan full-scale representing ecological routes of Akmola region. For a big contribution to the advance of ecotourism of the capital region, it was also awarded special diplomas and valuable prizes.

  Within an implementation of the Resolution of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first time in Kazakhstan the resolution of akimat of Akmola region from 07.02.2013г. No. A 2/60 created Department Tourism in Akmola region.
Earlier among the country cities the first department of tourism was created in Almaty. The emergence of the authorized body of tourism at regional level is essential for the promotion of tourism in the country. Today is an important need for the establishment of similar institutions of tourism in Almaty, Mangystau, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan regions.
While the first and only head of the regional department of tourism in Kazakhstan is S. Batyrhanov appointed by order of akim of Akmola region K. Aytmuhameta from March 1, 2013 No. 33-l/s.
Batyrkhanov S.B. – was born in 1955, has two higher educations, including the higher economic. More than 20 years in public service, He has two Gratitudes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, three anniversary medals, he was awarded a sign of the Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For merits in the development of tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and sign "Honorable Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan", honorable professor, President of the Federation berkutchi Akmola region.

February 22, 2013 at the Palace of Culture "Kokshetau" reporting meeting held akim of Akmola region K. Aytmuhametova before the population. In the main regional meeting was attended by Deputies of the Senate of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Dzhalmagambetova and Z. The reporting meetings ended with a summing up in various branches of economy, a number of subjects to present their products were awarded with diplomas and prizes.

One more object of attraction of inhabitants and city visitors, opened in the center of the resort region in the city of Kokshetau. It is a boxing hall with a professional ring in the entertainment complex “Aspan”
For participation in the opening ceremony of sports object there arrived the champion of Olympic Games in London the professional boxer of Kazakhstan Serik Sapiev. He praised the sports object and called athletes to hard work for achievement of high victories in sports, including in boxing. He said: “I am sure that in Kokshetau with such attention to the sport will be a World champion”
Within presentation of new object was held on the show program with performances by well-known masters of sports of the city and the region.
In memory about staying in Kokshetau and with gratitude for participating in the presentation to Serik Sapiev, Head of Tourism Akmola region presented souvenirs and books about Burabay.
