Every year, Europe Day is widely celebrated in Kazakhstan. This year's main event took place in Akmola region. Europe Day in Kokshetau began with a formal reception by Akim Akmola region - S. Dyachenko E.U. delegation headed by the EU mission in Kazakhstan - Norbert Zhyustenom in the conference hall of the regional akimat.
At the official opening celebrations at Independence Square Kokshetau by welcoming remarks from Akim Akmola region S. Dyachenko and Head of the EU mission in Kazakhstan - Norbert Justin. It was held for the guests and participants of the festivities an extensive program of cultural events.

The aim of the workshop was to familiarize with the issues of improving the legal framework of tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the organization of tours and tourist business in the country, consideration of new techniques to provide a high level excursion work in the region.

The keynote speaker at the designated themes of the program was Lyuterovich Oleg G. - Honored Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ph.D., a Methodist-guide Kazakhstan Tourist Association of Almaty. Upon completion of the workshop all participants were given certificates of course completion training guides on the regional workshop organized by the Unit of tourism, physical culture and sport with the assistance of the Kazakhstan Tourist Association.
 

Best masters of Akmola region - Rustam Yakovlev and Sergey Mishin went with a delegation of Akmola region to take apart in the IX-International tourist exhibition «ITFA-2011" in Aktyubinsk, which took place from 26 to 27 may 2011.

At the fair was attended by: deputy of akim of Aktobe region Nurkatova S.K., Aktobe regional maslikhat Secretary and Chairman of "Nur Otan" - Ordabaev B.N., representatives of local executive bodies in charge of tourism, of tourism activities, educational institutions, training specialists for the tourism industry, national parks and reserves, the producers of souvenirs and other organizations within the tourism cluster.
 

During the official tour of the Central Asian countries on May 18 in Kazakhstan arrived delegation of UNDP, headed by Helen Clark - First Deputy Secretary General of the UN. They visited Korgalzhyn state ornithological reserve - is included in the List of World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
For 6 years, this object is defined by the UNDP project sites, where along the line of that international organization contributed to the creation of a unique visit Center, as well as the preservation and development of biodiversity and sustainable development of wetlands, providing employment in rural areas by supporting and developing craft.
The delegation visited the Visit-Center, the Tengiz-Korgalzhyn area, acquaintance with the infrastructure, research and monitoring of a variety of birds including pink flamingos, which annually find their nesting grounds in the conservation area.
Unforgettable impression on the distinguished guests had left a specially organized exhibition of products of the best craftsmen Akmola region is represented under the leadership of Sh. Batyrhanova - deputy Head of Department of tourism, physical culture and sport of Akmola region.
A high score represented products was awarded a special appreciation to UNDP.
 

From 11 to 13 May 2011 at the Center "Іsker" An international scientific-practical conference on problems of biodiversity conservation and sustainable development of wetlands in Kazakhstan. To participate in this international forum of scientists and experts arrived from England, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
The keynote of the agenda by the National Project Manager, UNDP Kazakhstan Talgat Kerteshev, who presented a detailed progress report for 6 years in Kazakhstan under the above project.
During this conference were presented 16 scientific reports, including foreign partners in improving the legal framework of States, as well as on the further development of wetlands and sustainable use of natural resources.
A report on the perfect condition and prospects of development of ecological tourism in the area made Akmola Sh Batyrhanov - deputy head of Department of tourism, physical culture and sport of Akmola regional akimat.
During the conference, a delegation of foreign countries visited Korgalzhyn State ornithological reserve, included in UNESCO World Heritage List.
The presentation of a new visit-center has been successfully held for the guests of nature reserve, took leave of the delegation directly into the protected zone to monitor the variety of birds. Guests were pleasantly surprised when they saw firsthand the colony of pink flamingos, which caused great excitement among the visitors.
International scientific-practical conference concluded with the adoption of recommendations to guide further work on the above areas.
